nice and angry :) - Very good album all around. Has everything I like: speed, good musicians, good musical score and anger. It s definately worth the buy!

I believe they call it love - Love it or Hate it.I must say love. I only have a few songs but, I quote the rifts in do s when I have nothing to say to someone. It s like randomly breaking out into song, but letting someone else say it so well. These songs are great to just blast while driving, and to listen to for well. . .for no reason at all. I must say, it s niiiice. Verie niiiice!

Great, great musicianship (in comparison to songwriting) - This CD is an example of excellent musicianship (in comparison to excellent songwriting). I think that i should note that there are two different ways I judge musicians. There are good songwriters and there are good musicians. Those who write music well, and those who play music well. This is a band that can play music well. All of the members show amazing talent in this CD. The guitar riffs are fantastic. Fast. Technical. Brutal. You name it. The drums are PHENOMENAL. This CD is an excellent illustration of metalcore (or death metal) percussion at it s prime. The vocals are very dynamic and the vocalists range is excellent. His mid-tone is excellent. There is a problem with this album though. I m sorry to say that this album loses a star because of one failure: their lack of creativity and originality. Some artists are such amazing musicians that they can screw originality and they can play other people s original ideas twice as well as the original artist. This is what As Blood Runs Blacks does for the first 4 songs. I absolutely love the first four tracks. But after Pouring Reign my interest falls and I lose interest. Pouring Reign isn t a bad song, but I find it extremely boring compared to the first four. (not that I don t like quiet songs, I have a passion for classical, RnB, and new age as much as anything else) For some reason I feel like it is out of place and it is too typical. So typical that I got annoyed that this beautiful album had to be blemished by this song. But it doesn t stop there. Tracks 7-10 are really repetitive and they are very similar to the first 4 tracks. The album loses basically all of it s momentum by track 7. It is like the band started losing their creativity. That is the downfall of this album. This is what keeps it from becoming a classic. Honestly it would have gone farther had the band released a 7 song CD with more thorough songwriting. But don t get me wrong, this is an excellent album. It just doesn t quite match up with bands like Red Chord, Between the Buried and Me or August Burns Red in songwriting or originality. Is this album worth buying? Heck yes. Buy it by all means. But instead of buying this entire album I suggest buying the first four tracks as mp3s.

Honestly... - Wow. IF you are into the hardcore/metal-core genre this is for you. The drummer, Lech, is one of the best i have heard. GREAT switch-ups and blast beats. I recommend this cd to all. Also, if you are into having all of an artists music, then try to look for the older versions of songs they have including in dying days, hester prynne, and before the break of dawn. It makes the whole experience of the cd even better to see the progress as a band they have made.

heavy, great riffs - wow im new to this band but let me tell you this band is great.buy this cd if you are in to heavy music.
